Background to the CoVE Project
The leading centres of Stonemasonry training in England can be found in the Colleges of York, Bath and Weymouth. Together these three colleges have over 180 years experience in providing the finest quality training in this highly skilled heritage craft.
In recognition of this, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has encouraged and supported the development of a unique equal partnership between the three colleges through a significant capital investment in our Stonemasonry workshops and teaching areas.
The final accolade was the confirmation of full CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) status in February 2005.
